Outpatient Services
Laboratory and Ultrasound
We offer quality outpatient services, including ultrasound and blood testing. Working with Mayo Laboratories, Kish Hospital’s Laboratory analyzes Pap tests for local physicians using the ThinPrep technology which more accurately detects cancerous cells.
Whether your doctor orders a breast ultrasound after an exam or mammogram, an obstetrical ultrasound to catch a glimpse of your growing baby, or a transvaginal ultrasound to see your ovaries, the professionals at Kish Hospital can provide these and many other types of ultrasound testing.
Outpatient laboratory services are available by appointment. To schedule a lab test with a doctor’s order, please call (800) 397-1521, x152975 or (815) 748-2975.
Bone Density
In addition to Kish Hospital’s other radiology services in the Diagnostic Imaging department, bone density screening is offered by appointment. To help in the fight against osteoporosis, DEXA (dual energy x-ray absorptiometry) scanning provides a sensible way for physicians to detect early bone loss in those who are at increased risk and monitor the effectiveness of treatment. Safe and accurate, the patient is able to lie comfortably on a padded table while the DEXA unit moves and scans the body, most commonly around the hip and spine, without requiring any injections or other invasive procedures.
DEXA scans are available by appointment. To schedule a DEXA scan with a doctor’s order, please call 800.397.1521, x152975 or 815.748.2975.

Cosmetic Procedures and Products
At Hauser-Ross Eye Institute, a complete range of cosmetic procedures is offered to help you deal with skin problems and conditions, and to help you refresh your look as well. You can regain younger, healthier looking skin, with fewer wrinkles.
Services available at Hauser-Ross include Botox and wrinkle-fillers administered by our doctor, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and more.
Cosmetic eyebrow or eyelid surgery is appropriate for patients with concerns about loose skin around their eyes. An eyelid lift, or blepharoplasty, removes excess skin and fat and diminishes sagging and puffiness around the eyes. Lifting a drooping brow or sagging eyelid skin may be medically necessary depending on the degree of impaired peripheral vision. The brow lift minimizes the creases that develop across the forehead or those higher on the bridge of the nose. This procedure improves frown lines and repositions a low or sagging brow. It also improves sagging skin around the eyes.
Latisse™ is the first and only prescription treatment for hypotrichosis, or inadequate eyelashes. Latisse™ was approved specifically to enhance eyelash length, thickness and darkness.
Contact Hauser-Ross for more information on all of the cosmetic services offered or to set up a free consultation with the doctor.
