1) Discuss why most medications are compatible with breastfeeding.

2) Identify ways to maximize safety, including selecting the safest drug and limiting infant exposure.

3) Identify medications to avoid because they impair milk production.

5) Review recommendations for radiologic imaging in breastfeeding women.
