Is it time to change your eating habits? If you have been thinking about changing your diet or eating habits and need help, a registered dietitian at Kishwaukee Community Hospital can help you improve your health.

A registered dietitian (RD) is a food and nutrition expert who has a degree in nutrition and dietetics, has passed a registration examination, and has extensive training in disease management and health. An RD can help you improve your habits based on your lifestyle and preferences.

Most initial appointments take an hour to fully assess nutritional needs. Follow up appointments can be made in 15-minute increments. Some insurance companies will cover specific medical conditions for nutrition counseling; a doctor’s order is required. Hours are flexible including days, evenings, and some Saturdays.
